Natalie Portman cuts a casual figure as she enjoys some retail therapy with her daughter Amalia, 7, in Los Angeles

Natalie Portman stepped out with her daughter Amalia, seven, in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The Lady in the Lake star, 43, who finalized her divorce from ex-husband Benjamin Millepied, 47, in March, was dressed casually in a pair of wide-legged jeans and a white t-shirt.

The mom of two – who also shares son Aleph, 13, with Millepied, wore her chestnut locks parted in the middle and sported some chic shades.

She carried shopping bags filled with their purchases along with a large, blue tote bag as she walked down the street with Amalia. 

Natalie and Benjamin were married for 11 years before splitting in July 2023. Their divorce was finalized eight months later.

‘[Natalie’s] biggest priority has been ensuring a smooth transition for her children,’ a source told People in March. 

‘She and Ben really love their kids and are equally focused on being the best co-parents they can be. Nothing is more important.’

Earlier this month, the Black Swan star appeared on Australia’s The Project and shared her love of all things Down Under. 

Natalie revealed that her children are such big fans of the country that she has to keep iconic Aussie yeast spread Vegemite stocked in her pantry.

‘I would love to be (Australian),’ the American actress laughed when asked if she wasn’t secretly a citizen.

‘My family is very obsessed with Australia. We love it a lot. I have to keep Vegemite in my house for my kids’.

Natalie and her family been spending plenty of time in Australia over the last couple of years for various projects and filming commitments.

In September 2020, she and Millepied and their kids moved Down Under ahead of her filming Thor: Love and Thunder in Sydney.

Natalie is currently on the press circuit for her new movie, Lady in the Lake, and made a striking arrival at the premiere on Thursday night.

In the forthcoming AppleTV+ limited series, Portman plays Maddie Schwartz, a ’60s housewife living in Baltimore who is stirred by an unsolved murder.
