Natasha Lyonne took some time out of her day to pet the beloved cat named Oatmeal while she was between takes on the set of her Netflix series Russian Doll.

However, production was delayed a full year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with filming on Season 2 starting on March 1.

The character’s name hasn’t been released, but entertainment reporter Daniel Richtman described him as a ‘new main character’ and a ‘male love interest.’

He’s said to be ‘charming’ though he, ‘tums out to be a hustler/con artist type’ later in the season.’
The production is seemingly seeking a, ‘young Benicio Del Toro’ type to play this character, with Lyonne said to be, ‘envisioning names like Oscar Isaac or Andre Holland.’
With production just getting started, there is no indication when the season may be ready for fans to check out on Netflix yet.
