Natasha Oakley: Controversy over bikini snap of sister, 16

She’s been the subject of controversy in the past over allegations she ‘airbrushes’ her Insta-perfect social media photos.

And Natasha Oakley faced further criticism this week after posting an Instagram photo of her younger half-sister Sophia, alongside the caption ‘Sunday crush’.

Several of Natasha’s followers took to the comments section of her A Bikini A Day page to debate whether it was appropriate to share such an image of a 16-year-old.

In the photo, Sophia Vantuno is shown sitting on a lounger at a beach destination.

It appears the image was promoting Monday Swimwear, the bikini range founded by Natasha and her business partner Devin Brugman.

The caption read, ‘Sunday crush,’ alongside the emoji with love heart eyes.

Before long, Natasha’s followers were divided over the decision to publish the picture of Sophia.

While some claimed the image was ‘gorgeous’ and ‘beautiful’, others considered the photo and caption inappropriate.

One comment stated: ‘I really don’t think you should be posting this type of photo of a 16-year-old.’

Another read: ‘Love you girls but it’s not right posting pics of Tash’s 16-year-old sister.’
