Nathan Buckley shuts down rumours he’s split from girlfriend Alex Pike

AFL great Nathan Buckley has seemingly confirmed he is still with girlfriend Alex Pike after he was seen leaving her cosmetic clinic in Melbourne on Tuesday.

The couple were rumoured last month to have split after less than a year of dating.

However, his sighting at her injectables practice on Chapel Street in South Yarra all but confirms the pair are very much together. 

The former Collingwood coach, 49, dressed casually in a white T-shirt and navy shorts as he left the clinic after a skincare treatment. 

He completed his look with white sneakers and tucked a pair sunglasses in the neckline of his shirt.

It follows rumours the glamorous footy couple recently called time on their whirlwind romance.

When contacted for comment about the break-up on January 23, mother-of-three Alex told Daily Mail Australia she wasn’t in a position to say anything.

‘There is nothing I can say. I am a private person who has children. I can not comment,’ she said.

Nathan and Alex’s relationship emerged just weeks after the champion midfielder announced his split from his wife of 18 years, Tania Minnici, in December 2020.

At the time, he set tongues wagging by following Alex on his private Instagram account.

In December, Alex spoke about her ‘wonderful’ relationship with the footy legend in an interview with The Herald Sun.

‘I am very private about the relationship, but we have a wonderful connection,’ she said at the time.

In May last year, a friend of the pair said their relationship was ‘effortless’.

‘They are happy. It’s all good. It’s just very easy and comfortable really. They have a genuine connection,’ they revealed.
