Mary Fowler and Nathan Cleary appear to have been putting their artistic hats on over the past couple of weeks, during the Penrith star’s visit to spend time with his girlfriend in Europe.

After guiding Penrith to their fourth successive premiership title almost a month ago, Cleary made the trip to the UK to meet up with his girlfriend, Fowler.

The pair were first pictured at Old Trafford watching the Super League Grand Final. During a half-time interview, Cleary had also poured cold water on rumours that he could move to the northern hemisphere to be closer to Fowler, who is currently playing for Manchester City’s women’s side.

In recent weeks, the sporting duo have shared several snaps of each other enjoying some downtime. The pair were pictured enjoying coastal walks and visiting a seaside town, while Cleary posted several snaps of himself taking a dip in a Swiss lake, as he travelled to watch Fowler feature for the Matildas in their 1-1 draw against Switzerland last month.

But while the pair have been doing plenty of exploring, it seems they’ve also been brushing up on their painting skills.

Fowler shared a picture on her Instagram account seemingly showing that the pair had painted portraits of each other.

Cleary also signed his portrait of his girlfriend with the message: ‘Love yourz’ before adding his signature at the bottom of the picture.

Fowler, who was not named in Man City’s squad to play Crystal Palace in London this weekend, shared several other pictures of the pair spending some time at the beach. She also added a picture of herself standing outside what appears to be the Catedral-Basilica de Santa Maria in Mallorca.

The City forward also added a snap of herself with several Matildas team-mates and a picture showing the message: ‘Don’t lose this moment searching for another.’

She captioned the post: ‘Feeling blessed. Grateful for this life.’

It is understood that Cleary, who travelled to Europe around three weeks ago, has since returned to Australia.

The Panthers halfback is set to undergo surgery on a troublesome shoulder injury that has caused him problems throughout the 2024 season.

It is understood that he will undergo the procedure at some point this week and will return to resume light training before Christmas, with Penrith set to travel to Las Vegas for their NRL season opener against Cronulla Sharks on the first weekend of March.

Cleary, meanwhile, has opened up on his relationship with Fowler, who

‘I’ve loved it, it’s all I ever could have dreamed of in having a partner, to be honest,’ he told Channel Nine’s Marlee and Me podcast.

‘It’s added new perspective, but it’s also added an extra layer that when things are going good, you want to share with them and want to talk about it….and when things aren’t going good, they’re there too.

‘She is super supportive and I’ve absolutely loved it. It’s just a great addition to life, to be honest, and made me really happy. Love wins.’
