Nathan Lyon has been spectacularly thrown under a bus by a commentary team who busted the Australian cricketer taking a close look at ‘the pitch’ during the First Test against South Africa.
In a stitch-up for the ages, camera crews turned to the off-spinner as he sat in the pavilion and peered through a set of binoculars aimed towards the crowd at the Durban venue.
As Lyon gazed through the optical enhancer, the cameras switched to two young women who appeared to distract him from the action in the middle.

Lyon was clearly listening to the banter from their balcony seats and fell about in fits of giggles when he realised his wandering eyes had not gone unnoticed
‘I’m presuming he’s looking at the pitch… is he watching the pitch?’ South African commentator Mike Haysman asked playfully.
‘I’m sure he is. He’s concentrating on his craft. His skill set,’ former Australian and South African cricketer Kepler Wessels responded, struggling to contain his laughter.

It comes after MailOnline revealed in December Lyon was at the centre of a love triangle and had allegedly been in a year-long relationship with glamorous blonde, Emma McCarthy.

The 30-year-old was pictured passionately kissing his new love in the lead up to the crucial Third Ashes test in Perth, Western Australia.
The revelations were said to have ‘devastated’ a ‘completely blindsided’ Melissa Waring – his long-term partner and mother of his two children.
A source close to the bowler insisted he had done nothing wrong and that his relationship with Ms Waring had run its course some time ago.
They claimed Lyon’s ‘loving and committed relationship’ with McCarthy had been ‘kept secret’ for the sake of his young family.
