Nathan Lyon’s estranged partner has revealed she feels ‘weak, small and alone’ after the Australian cricket star left her for a glamorous blonde.
In an emotional online post she titled ‘Alone’, Mel Waring said it took months for Lyon’s relationship with Perth real estate agent Emma McCarthy to ‘really hit’ home.
‘We have lived a life where he has constantly travelled, cricket was life and touring was a given… it’s easy to forget,’ she wrote in her blog, Life of Lyons.
‘Today has been different. I have been strong, I have been brave, but today I feel weak, I feel small and I feel alone.’

Ms Waring said that while her former partner remained surrounded by a support network, she felt completely isolated following the relationship breakdown.
‘I’m constantly reminded that the team of people who were once there for us both are no longer my friends but my enemy,’ she wrote.
‘The words ”trust no one”, have become true and I’m reminded that while he has a team of people around him, protecting him, making life for him easy, I do not.’
She went on to say she was a proud mother and that her children would always be her priority.

‘How is it so easy, to make decisions so hurtful and expect life to just go on like normal.
‘Why am I made to feel so small when my job here with our children should mean so much more.’
Ms Waring previously said she had taken her thoughts to her blog because she needed an outlet for her ‘grief, strength and confusion’.

Addressing the revelations in her first post, she said her ‘world came falling down around’ her in December, 2017.
‘Life as I knew it was over and my soul mate was gone, leaving me and our girls, aged three and four, to pick up the broken pieces and try to find a way to move forward alone,’ she wrote.
‘Overnight I became a single mum to two children, overnight my world was rocked to its core and it changed forever.’
