Nation’s favourite chocolates are among the rarest in every tin

As households stock up on chocolate in readiness for Christmas and get set to dive in for their favourites, new findings have revealed which tins offer the best value for money.

Researchers at the British marketing agency iProspectUK have counted, sorted and weighed almost 1,300 chocolates (12.9kgs) from the UK’s most popular Christmas tins.

And they found that out of 67 sweets in a Quality Street tin, only four were Green Triangles, compared to nine Strawberry Delights.

And while Maltesers Teaser is by far the UK’s favourite chocolate, there are only eight in the average Celebrations tub – leaving people an 11.5% chance of picking one out first time.
