Nebraska volleyball has a new superstar after a hype video featuring Laney Choboy saw the freshman go viral.

The 19-year-old psychology major has represented the United States at Under-19 and Under-18 level.

The North Carolina native was considered by some to be the No 1 libero recruit before she joined the Cornhuskers.

Now Choboy’s profile has received another boost after Nebraska released a hype video compiling her best moments from this season, entitled: ‘Holla at Choboy’

The clip, shared to the Cornhuskers’ Instagram and Tiktok pages, shows Choboy singing, dancing, celebrating and hyping her teammates. On TikTok alone, the video has garnered more than a quarter of a million likes.

The Freshman made national headlines earlier this season when she made the No 1 play in ESPN’s ‘Sports Center’ Top 10.

Against Illinois in November, Choboy sprinted to save a ball before diving into the student section to reach it. Nebraska went on to win the point.

The Cornhuskers were ranked No 1 in the nation and Choboy helped them reach the NCAA final last month.

However, a 3-0 defeat by Texas saw Nebraska end the season with a record of 33-2.
