Whether it’s that their neighbour slams their door too loud or their dog’s barking has been driving them mad, these tech-savvy residents are letting their neighbours know.

Dozens of people have taken to social media to share some of the hilarious names they’ve come across.

One woman shared how her neighbour had changed their Wifi password to: ‘155A Remuera Road you can’t sing’.

‘Guess they didn’t like mine and my housemates performances,’ she said.

Another read: ‘Use the rubbish bin, how hard is it’.

Many people were frustrated about how loud their neighbours were when they leave their homes and decided to let them know in a not-so-subtle way.

Their WIFI names were: ‘Close your door quietly’.

However, not all were quite as passive aggressive.  Some shared how they had simply wanted give their neighbours a chuckle.

‘Police surveillance van,’ was another witty name.

Another had changed theirs to read: ‘Pretty fly for a WIFI.’

While another had a warning for their neighbours: ‘Don’t get NBN it sucks’.

While many may find changing their Wifi name to something witty as a great gag, it can backfire.

Last month an airplane waiting to take off was put on lockdown over a possible bomb threat when a passenger called their personal WiFi hot spot ‘remote detonator.’

Police were called to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport because of the passenger on a Delta Connection flight headed for Montreal.

The flight was delayed for more than three hours while two passengers were removed.
