Warnock tried to sign the 31-year-old in the last two transfer windows only for deals to fall through.

‘I hope it’ll get done,’ Warnock said after his side’s 3-0 defeat by Rotherham on Wednesday.

‘I spoke to him, and he was going to go to Turkey. But he spoke to me and I said, “Look, just come and enjoy yourself for a couple of months – you can always go to Turkey and places like that later”.

‘He owes me anyhow because I did well for him at Crystal Palace. He’s looking forward to it, I think, and hopefully everything will be done in the next 24 hours.

Bolasie cost Everton £25million from Crystal Palace in August 2016. However, his Toffees career was derailed just four months later when he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against Manchester United.

Bolasie has had loan spells with Aston Villa, Anderlecht and Sporting Lisbon but his Everton contract is up in the summer.

He had been told he had no future at Goodison and was not included in Carlo Ancelotti’s 25-man Premier League squad.
