Two Christmas classics have been added to the Netflix UK library – weeks ahead of Christmas.
The streaming service added How The Grinch Stole Christmas – the 2000 version featuring Jim Carrey as the green character.
Netflix also added the 2018 animated version of the film with Benedict Cumberbatch voicing the beloved Christmas villain.
The films center around the Grinch, a character from the Christmas children book How the Grinch by Theodor ‘Dr. Seuss’ Geisel.
The story, first released in 1957, went on to become adapted to the big screen in 1966 with an an animated version starring Boris Jarloff as the voice of the character, in 1977 in Halloween is Grinch Night voiced by Hans Conried, 2000 starring Jim Carrey, and the 2018 animated version with Benedict.
There was also a musical in 2007, and a 2020 live television adaptation.

The 2018 animated version surpassed that record – reaching $67.6 million.
The 2000 version was directed by Ron Howard and produced by Ron and Brian Grazer.
The 2018 animated version featured Benedict voicing the Grinch, Rashida Jones voicing Donna Who, Kenan Thompson voicing Bricklebaum, Angela Lansbury as Mayer McGerkle and Pharell Williams as the narrator.
The animated film was directed by Yarrow Cheney and Scott Mosier.
