Netflix cancels ANOTHER fan-favorite show and viewers are threatening to boycott the streamer

Netflix has cancelled yet another fan-favorite show and viewers are once again threatening to boycott the streamer.

The streamer has axed Rob Lowe’s workplace comedy Unstable after just two seasons leading many to complain on social media.

In the series, 60-year-old Lowe stars alongside his 28-year-old son John Owen Lowe.

The series takes place in a biological research company where a son with social problems is forced to work for the company of his father, an extremely eccentric and exotic man to save him from disaster.

Netflix has cancelled yet another fan-favorite show and viewers are once again threatening to boycott the streamer

Back in August season 2 of the series picked up after the duo’s characters successfully fought off a hostile takeover of biotech company last season.

This time, however, Rob’s character, Ellis Dragon, will have to battle for control of the company comes from his own son, Jackson (played John Owen).

The show premieres on the streamer on August 1 and co-stars Sian Clifford, Rachel Marsh, Emma Ferreira and Aaron Branch.

Fred Armisen will also return to his recurring role as Leslie, Ellis’ therapist and Lamorne Morris and Iris Apatow join the cast in the new season, playing another biotech founder and a new intern.

The cancellation brought forth many complaints on social media including some who even threatened to cancel their Netflix membership.

One X (formally Twitter) user wrote: ‘I think we all need to boycott netflix for a year tbh. don’t subscribe, watch, tweet/post about anything they got going on or something. cause the continuing of cancelling shows and putting actors and entire crews outta work so early is predatory as the minimum.’

Another said: ‘That’s really disappointing to hear that Unstable got cancelled after just two seasons. I enjoyed the father-son dynamic and the laughs. I hope we see Rob Lowe and his son in another show soon.’

This comes amid a string of cancelations which have angered fans including Kaos after just one season – days after fans begged for a second season.

According to the outlet, the show was in the top ten charts on Netflix for the first four weeks, reaching number 3.

By September 8, the series had 3.34 million views in the US, per THR.
