Netflix fans have hailed a ‘frightening’ new horror movie, they claimed the gory film has unlocked a new fear of chainsaws.
Haunt, starring Faking It’s Katie Stevens as Harper, is jam-packed with terrifying clowns, extreme violence and terrifying torture scenes.
The 2019 hit, which also stars Kong: Skull Island’s Will Brittain as Nathan, was released on the streaming platform this week and fans are already dubbing it 10/10.
Scott Beck’s hit follows a group of friends who encounter a haunted house operated by people wearing clown, ghost, witch, vampire, vevil, and zombie masks.
Inside the attraction, the six friends – Evan, (Andrew Lewis Caldwell) Nathan, Harper, Bailey (Lauryn Alisa McClain), Angela (Shazi Raja), and Mallory (Schuyler Helford) – witness the Witch torturing a captive woman in a milieu that appears real.

The death trap feeds on their darkest fears, pushing their bravery limits at all turns, but soon, the naïve group realise that nightmares really do come true.
The horror movie has seen roaring reviews so far as it has achieved an impressive 70 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, as critics dubbed it ‘an atmospheric and brutal romp and stomp splat film’.
One penned: ‘What wins in Haunt for me is the villains. They’re fun, imaginative, and creepy. And more importantly for a horror film, the kills deliver. They’re to the point and pretty savage honestly.’
