Netflix fans share excitement as Jack Whitehall announces new spin-off show after two years

Netflix fans shared their excitement on Thursday when Jack Whitehall announced one of his shows would be returning. 

Sharing the news to Instagram, the comedian, 35, posed for a photo with his dad Michael, 83, and revealed they would be working together once more, two years on from their most recent project. 

The father son duo with be starring on upcoming series Fatherhood with My Father, following the success of Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father.

‘Putting the old team back together for one last job,’ Jack announced.

Jack and his dad Michael teamed up in 2017 for the hit Netflix series Travels With My Father, a six-part comedy documentary in which the chalk-and-cheese pair travelled from Thailand to Vietnam in south-east Asia, taking in Burma and Cambodia en route.

The following year they made their way across Europe for series two, as Jack and his dad encountered boozy bikers in Budapest, cheesy Europop in Moldova, as well as marching clowns and gun-toting Cossacks in Ukraine.

They went on to travel the Western United States as well as Australia and the UK for a total of five series. 

This year, Jack and his partner Roxy Horner welcomed their first child, a daughter named Elsie, in September, which has inspired their latest series. 

The couple recently revealed the sweet meaning behind their baby daughter’s name. 

Explaining their reasoning, a source told The Sun: ‘Elsie is a gorgeous baby and Jack and Roxy have picked a gorgeous name to fit. Everyone is thrilled.’

The couple, who have been in a relationship for three years, are said to have taken their time settling on Elsie’s name. 

Jack and Roxy took Elsie home from the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s in September. 

The Lindo Wing has seen a host of Royal births including The Princess of Wales who welcomed her three children there, as well as many other famous faces. 

After taking their baby home, Jack was full of love on as he praised ‘amazing’  Roxy and shared the first photos of their newborn daughter.
