Netflix viewers left ‘so upset’ after hit real estate reality show is suddenly axed amid ‘production cost’ struggles

Buying Beverly Hills has been cancelled after just two seasons.

The Netflix reality show followed Mauricio Umansky, who is the estranged husband of Real Housewives star Kyle Richards, as he heads up a real estate agency that specialises in high-end sales in a similar vein to Selling Sunset.

Mauricio starred on the series alongside his daughters Farrah and Alexia, and the second batch of episodes launched in March.

But, Deadline has reported that the sudden cancellation is because of the ‘viewing numbers versus the cost of production’.

Fans were quick to voice their opinion on social media, with some claiming they were ‘surprised’ at the news.

A third fumed: ‘Omg, this makes me so upset that @netflix didn’t want to pick up for Season 3 of Buying Beverly Hills. Damn I love this family so much.

‘They are so good at what they do I love this show & was invested in learning about the business of housing.’

The final season documented the ups and downs of marriage of Mauricio and his famous wife which culminated in their eventual split.

At one point, he explained to his daughters that even though he tried to do ‘everything possible’ to save their marriage, Kyle needed ‘space’ and allowed him to date other people but on the condition that they didn’t speak about it.

Speaking in a clip from the season two premiere of the show’, he told his daughters: ‘I had an amazing 26 years with your mom, and I wanted to do everything possible to just save it. Your mom came and she talked to me and said, ‘I think I need space.
