Nets suspend Kyrie Irving no less than five games after failure to apologize for anti-Semitic post

BREAKING NEWS: Brooklyn Nets SUSPEND Kyrie Irving ‘for no less than five games’ following failure to apologize for anti-Semitic post

The Brooklyn Nets have announced the suspension of point guard Kyrie Irving for at least five games.

The team released a statement Wednesday night saying the decision stemmed from Irving’s failure to directly apologize for posting a link on Twitter to a film deemed ‘venomously anti-Semitic’ when allowed to speak to the media Thursday.

‘We have decided that Kyrie will serve a suspension without pay until he satisfies a series of objective remedial measures that address the harmful impact of his conduct and the suspension period served is no less than five games,’ the Nets statement read in part.
