Network Seven to live broadcast epic Mushroom Records 50th anniversary concert featuring performances by Ed Sheeran, Garbage and Sam Smith

Channel Seven is the exclusive broadcast partner for the upcoming Mushroom Records 50th Anniversary Concert in Melbourne.

The historic show features an all-star line-up and will take place at Rod Laver Arena on Sunday November 26, and broadcast live on the network from 7pm.

A host of A-List international and Australian acts are set to play at the concert, including pre-recorded performances by Ed Sheeran, Garbage and Sam Smith.

Meanwhile, a huge number of legendary Australian performers will play live at the show, including Jimmy Barnes, Missy Higgins, Hunters and Collectors and Kate Ceberano.

The icons are taking the stage to mark 50 years of the legendary Australian record label and will collectively be playing ‘fifty songs to celebrate fifty years’ of local music.

Mushroom Music was established in 1972 by Michael Gudinski, who fronted the company until his death in 2021 and it is now run by his son Matt.

Matt Gudinski, Mushroom Group Chief Executive, said in a statement: ‘We’re all proud of and we’re thrilled to partner with the Seven Network to bring this once-in-a-lifetime concert to living rooms right across the country.’

There will also be performances from Paul Kelly, Diesel, Hunter and Collectors, pop star Amy Shark, alternative rockers Birds of Tokyo, and singer Christine Anu.

The line-up also includes hip-hop act Bliss N Eso, Dan Sultan, DMA’s, Fred Loneragan from Machinations, and Frente, famed for their ’90s hit Accidently Kelly Street.

Legendary Cold Chisel guitarist and singer Ian Moss will also appear alongside Gordi and veteran performer Ross Wilson.

The Rubens, The Temper Trap, The Teskey Brothers, and ’90s duo Vika & Linda are also included in the lineup.

Fans can look forward to hearing 50 songs celebrating half a century of Mushroom Records.

The label has already launched a new series of music videos celebrating Australian music.
