World-famous fashion photographer Dewey Nicks releases his never-before-seen Polaroids of the world’s most beautiful women, including Cindy Crawford, Patricia Arquette and Natalie Portman

  • Shooting for magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, W and Vanity Fair , photographer Dewey Nicks has moved between celebrity, fashion and advertising work
  •  This year Nicks unearthed a forgotten box filled with thousands of Polaroids from his nineties photo sessions 
  • Enigmatic snapshots of woman posed and unposed, primed for the camera or caught unaware—these Polaroids reveal the comfort and ease between Nicks and his subjects.
  • The resulting volume, Polaroids of Women, contains just over 100 of their favorite images from the collection and features an insightful forward by the renowned designer and preservationist Brad Dunning

A world-renowned photographer has issued a stunning collection of images of some of the most beautiful women which he captured during his nineties heyday.

Shooting for magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, W and Vanity Fair through the nineties, photographer Dewey Nicks created images of iconic women including Cindy Crawford, Natalie Portman, Sofia Coppola, Patricia Arquette, and Cher.

Nicks recently found a forgotten box buried deep in his archive with thousands of Polaroids from his  photo sessions, now collected in the book Dewey Nicks: Polaroids of Women. 

The one-of-a-kind favorites saved from hundreds of shoots, both private and assigned, offer an intimate portrait into Nicks’ life, friends and work.

Nicks was so taken with this time capsule of images that he immediately shared them with his frequent collaborator, book designer and publisher Tom Adler, and this beautifully produced book was born.

Dewey Nicks studied photography at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and has been working as a professional fashion and commercial photographer since 1986.
