Never pencil in your eyebrows again! The popular treatment that will save you time

Never pencil in your eyebrows again! The popular treatment that could cut your morning routine in half – and it doesn’t involve tattooing!

  • Tinting and tattooing are popular brow treatments but there is a new technique
  • Henna stains the skin more effectively than regular tinting and can last weeks
  • Celebrity brow specialist Amy Jean Linnehan explains the treatment to FEMAIL
  • She says it gives her clients a fuller brow appearance in less than 15 minutes

Filling in sparse brows is a part of the daily makeup routine for those of us who are not genetically blessed with beautiful arches of hair above our eyes.

But if you’re growing tired of using a pencil or gel to cover gaps, what can you do aside from tattooing your brows?

According to celebrity brow specialist Amy Jean Linnehan, of Amy Jean Brow Agency, Henna is the new go-to treatment for women who no longer want to fill-in their brows but don’t want a permanent tattoo.

She says it’s a great alternative and will give you bold, beautifully-sculpted eyebrows for weeks at a time.

‘Anyone can try henna if they would like a little added definition in their brows,’ says Amy Jean.

‘It creates a background shadowing that stains the skin more effectively than regular tinting.

‘If a client is apprehensive about tattooing this is a fabulous alternative or ”warm up” to not over overcommit and try out a new shape or colour for a few weeks,’ she adds.

Amy Jean says Henna stains the skin and gives her clients a fuller brow appearance in less than 15 minutes.

Better yet, it can last up to three weeks depending on your skin type and lifestyle.

‘Regular tinting dyes the brow hairs more effectively but henna tinting stains the skin under the brow hairs to create an illusion of fullness,’ she explains.

‘If someone is oily or uses very active ingredients in their skincare, the colour will fade away faster.

‘We simply mix the henna powder with water to a desired depth of colour and soak the skin and hair in the pre-determined shape.

‘The processing time is longer than regular tinting,’ she says.

‘Usually 10 to 15 minutes and there is a vast array of tones to choose from.’
