New I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! set is unveiled

While the famous jungle shower on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has been the scene of many a riveting bikini-clad moment and shirtless moment, bosses of the show have unveiled plans to spice things up further.

Newly released photographs from the Australian jungle set of the hit ITV series show that an outdoor bathtub has been added to the spartan fixtures and fittings – giving way for abundant nudity as stars enjoy a refreshing soak.

And just to ensure that things continue to sizzle among the show’s fresh roster of young and photogenic contestants, producers have also installed a wooden swing seat for potential couples to canoodle.

The gleaming new tub – which boasts enough space for two people – serves as quite the luxurious addition, as it pumps warm water, likely making it irresistible for campmates, including Rebekah Vardy and Georgia Toffolo.

And after indulging in a bathing session – which will require somebody to man the pump – love connections can be made on the bench, which provides a more private setting for those wishing to get to know one another better.

Series producer Oliver Nash told The Sun: ‘The new features to the camp this year will add an interesting new element. The bath is an exciting new luxury that will probably be popular with some of the more image conscious so they can get really clean.’

Noting that the newest crop of contestants – who include singers Vanessa White and Connor Maynard – include ‘some good potential couples’, the showrunner added: ‘The swing seat would be nice for a couple to sit in.

“It’s also a place to get away from campmates and have a little moan about the people who are getting on their nerves… I can imagine Stanley Johnson sitting on his throne putting the world to rights too.’

It was previously reported by The Sun, that a number of the show’s female contestants are sneaking more bikinis than allowed into camp, to increase the amount of scenes in the shower in a bid for more airtime and votes.

However, the report comes amid claims that many features of the Australian campsite are actually fake – including the waterfall, home to the shower itself.

The paper reports that the glamorous girls of the series are disguising their swimwear as underwear, to smuggle more bikinis into camp.

Insiders claim that by doing this, the beauties are hoping to spend more time showing off their figures in the jungle shower, in a ploy to receive more airtime on the show.

A source said: ‘Some of the girls know that their toned bikini bodies will give them more airtime and votes so they’ve bought in extra bikinis over underwear so they’ll have more sets of shower swimwear.’

With the likes of Myleene Klass, Lisa Snowdon and Ola Jordan garnering attention with their sexy scenes in the past, the source added that this year’s girls are aware its a competition – and plan to strip off to gain more votes from viewers.

‘It’s a known fact that the iconic shower scenes are a staple part of the show and can catapult some contestants to fame if they pull it off right,’ they added.

‘Some the women know that by flaunting their assets they will gain more votes and have a better chance of staying on the series. It’s a competition at the end of the day.’

MailOnline has contacted a representative of the show for comment.

Despite her sizzling bikini displays on social media however, MIC star Toff recently revealed she hopes to surprise people – and prove she is more than just a blonde reality star.

The Londoner, who has a degree in Law from Westminster, divulged to The Sun: ‘I’m not just a chick that puts up Instagrams!’

Having more than 500,000 followers and her own successful lingerie line, the influencer also confessed she was open to romance on the show, after a string of failed relationships due to her driven personality.

She explained: ‘I often wonder if my relationships don’t work out because I am the more alpha one and the focus is on me and men don’t like that.’

The line-up for the 2017 series was revealed earlier this week – with MIC’s Toff, 22, girlband star Vanessa, 28, and WAG Rebekah, 35, heading to the jungle alongside boser Amir Khan and footballer Dennis Wise.

The group will also be joined by Boris Johnson’s father Stanley, comedienne Shappi Khorsandi, Corrie star Jennie McAlpine, Conor Maynard’s brother Jack, and Hollyoaks hunk Jamie Lomas, in the quest for the title of Jungle King or Queen.

The line-up: 1) Stanley Johnson, 2) Dennis Wise, 3) Shappi Khorsandi, 4) Amir Khan, 5) Jennie McAlpine, 6) Vanessa White, 7) Rebekah Vardy, 8) Jack Maynard, 9) Georgia Toffolo and 10) Jamie Lomas

However, the series has already suffered a number of setbacks – with it most recently being revealed that much of the famous campsite is actually fake.

Woman’s Own has claimed that some of the rocks which line Croc Creek and provide seating for the contestants are actually made of papier mache, and have been added to the clearing to make the setting more authentic.

The magazine also reports that the waterfall, home to the jungle shower, is not actually part of the natural landscape, and is instead switched off every afternoon for three hours.

Despite the elaborate camp however, the 2017 series is at threat of being delayed altogether, due to a slew of safety issues.

Earlier this week, it was reported by the Daily Star that the shower had been infested by blood-thirsty water leeches, amid claims heavy 170mph tropical storms were to hit Australia, with the potential of flooding the set.

Only making matters worse, The Sun has since reported that a number of Australian funnel web spiders have been found in camp. The critters, which have been swiftly removed by producers, are known to be highly venomous – with a single bite able to kill a human.

The contestants also reportedly face threat from an invasion of ‘paralysis ticks’, which can cause allergies to meat and even anaphylactic shock.
