A 23-year-old heroin addict admitted to killing his girlfriend’s daughter after backhanding her down the stairs two years ago, report has revealed.

Travis Graham from Gloucester Township, New Jersey, pleaded guilty to the aggravated manslaughter of three-year-old Charlette Dawkins in 2017.

Graham had claimed for a year the toddler fell down the stairs before she died in a Camden hospital on March 13.

But the junkie was arrested for his part in a robbery in July last year and admitted to cops that he had smacked Charlotte, who ‘was spun around and fell down the steps face first’, according to NJ.com.

Officers heard how he took her to the hospital straight after the incident, but his texts revealed it had been a few hours later.

The criminal was already facing charges for five armed robberies – used to fund his drug habit – three of which took place in Camden County, one in Salem and another in Gloucester.

He told cops: ‘I just wanted to forget a lot of stuff.’

Graham has already been sentenced to five years for the robberies in Gloucester but in May he rejected a 40-year plea deal from Camden County for the other ones.
