New LIV Golf star Caleb Surratt thanked Donald Trump ‘for all you have done’ as they played together in Florida on Friday, with the former President almost hitting a hole in one.

Surratt, who recently joined Jon Rahm’s team on the Saudi-backed circuit after the Spaniard’s $500million defection from the PGA, teed it up with the former President at Trump National Palm Beach.

In one clip posted to Surratt’s Instagram story, Trump can be seen hitting a brilliant shot on a par three.

The 77-year-old’s shot lands within feet of the flag and he can be saying ‘oh that’s going to be close’ as it flies through the air.

Trump, an avid golfer, also posed for pictures with Surratt – who was clearly delighted to be playing with the former President.

Surratt wrote that he’d had an ‘unreal day’ and it was ‘such a cool moment to be able to play with 45.’

On another picture of the two of them, Surratt captioned it: ‘Thank you for all you have done.’

Surratt played college golf at the University of Tennessee and competed in the Walker Cup last year at St. Andrews.

He joined LIV earlier this year at the same time he turned professional.

‘The opportunity to turn pro and be a part of Jon Rahm’s team is truly a special opportunity that is a great fit for me,’ he said at the time.

He has played in both of the LIV Golf events this season. They won as a team on their debut in Mayakoba before finishing fifth in Las Vegas.

Individually, he has also made a strong start to the season. Surratt shot five-under in Mexico and six-under in Las Vegas.

Hours after their round, Trump slammed New York for being ‘corrupt’ and ‘letting the migrants come in and take over’ after he was fined $355million in a civil fraud verdict.

Judge Arthur Engoron released the ruling on Friday that will also see the former President banned from being a director or officer in a New York firm for three years.

Speaking outside his Mar-a-lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, the 77-year-old went on the offense and lashed out at Engoron and Attorney General Letitia James.

The former President said: ‘I paid approximately $300m dollars in taxes as the migrants come in and take over New York, and they want me out.

‘These are radical left democrats, they are lunatics. Its election interference.’

The former president also said that the case had been brought by the DOJ and Biden and constituted election interference.

Trump’s fine come as New York is gripped by a migrant crime wave after over 170,000 individuals were allowed to flood in during the last two years.
