New South Wales reports nine new cases of coronavirus as ANOTHER school is shut after a student tested positive – and number of mystery cases grows

New South Wales has recorded nine new cases of COVID-19 as one Sydney school was forced to close after a student tested positive.
Tangara School for Girls in Cherrybrook in the city’s north-west closed for deep cleaning overnight and close contacts of the case are being notified.
From the new cases two were returning international travellers, four were locally acquired while three have no known source.
The state’s total number has now jumped to 3,662 but fears surround a second outbreak as nine of NSW’s cases haven’t been linked to any known infections.

‘COVID-19 is circulating in the community,’ the health department warned.
‘It’s extremely important we all play our part in prevention all the time.’
There are currently 107 COVID-19 cases being treated by NSW Health, while nine are in intensive care.
The Thai Rock cluster in Wetherill Park has been associated with 111 cases while the Apollo Restaurant in Potts Point has been linked to 28 infections.
Funeral events in Bankstown have been linked to 55 cases with the Mounties club in Mount Pritchard being connected to 15 infections.
Six cases have been associated with the Thai Rock Restaurant in Potts Point.
