A New Year’s Eve reveller has been brutally assaulted in front of terrified onlookers on the middle of a busy Sydney road.
Horrifying footage shows the man being punched from behind in the inner-city suburb of Pyrmont in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Another attacker continued the assault as the victim appeared to be unconscious on the asphalt.

A police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia they were aware of the incident and were investigating.
