  • Klopp went on to have the last laugh however as Liverpool beat Newcastle

Newcastle supporters revelled in Liverpool’s early misery after it appeared assistant manager Jason Tindall hushed Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, before the visitors came from behind to win the game in stoppage time.

The hosts were on top at St James’ Park after Anthony Gordon opened the scoring in the 25th as the former Everton attacker pounced on Trent Alexander-Arnold’s mistake.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk was then sent off minutes later after fouling Alexander Isak, with Klopp left fuming in the dugout.

Tindall had evidently had enough of hearing the German rant at the fourth official and put a finger to his lips as Klopp looked over.

Klopp appeared nonplussed by the gesture as he redirected his focus back to the pitch with Liverpool searching for an equaliser in the first-half.

However, despite some Newcastle supporters being delighted with the 45-year-old’s actions, plenty of fans were furious at what they had witnessed.

One annoyed onlooker, said: ‘The disrespect is massive.. dude who has never been anything in life shorting up a legendary coach.

Another added: ‘It’s all bias, disrespect and disgusting watching games like this. Absolutely emotional.’

While another supporter highlighted Newcastle’s dire record against Liverpool since Tindall moved to the club, adding: ‘Bit rich considering Newcastle have never beaten Liverpool since he’s been there.’

One final furious comment told Tindall to ‘shut up’ after his dugout display, stating: ‘Always a number two and nothing more. Sit down shut up.’

However, Klopp went on to leave the Newcastle second-in-command possibly feeling slightly embarrassed after Darwin Nunez came off the bench to turn the game on it’s head.

Liverpool battled back with 10-men to stun the hosts and claim a steely three points, with the Reds boss going berserk in the technical area as his team snatched victory against the odds.

The German had the last laugh after Nunez netted his second by turning to Tindall and smiling in his direction.
