Newlyweds who met at Coles celebrate their marriage

A groom and his blushing bride have paid homage to the first aisle they ever walked down by returning to the supermarket where they first met to throw a broccoli bouquet.

Gold Coast newlyweds Rodney and Jessica Reinsma, who first met at a Coles in Sydney in 2013, chose to share their special day with the supermarket chain after pondering where to celebrate their nuptials.

In early November, the couple stunned shoppers as they entered one of the chain’s stores at Hope Island donning their wedding attire.

‘If it wasn’t for Coles we may have never met and I could not imagine life without him. I have a lot to thank the company for,’ 31-year-old Jessica, a grocery manager, told The Gold Coast Bulletin.

‘Rodney proposed to me at Sea World and we looked at a few wedding venues but I think Coles was a really unique place and all our friends were over the moon.’

Jessica and Rodney, a 35-year-old Coles store manager, were married at Sanctuary Cove but stopped by a supermarket with their wedding party in tow to snap some photos before making their way to the reception at Palazzo Versace.

A gleeful Jessica can be seen sitting in a shopping trolley with her white dress billowing over the sides.

‘The tricky part was getting into the shopping trolley with my massive dress. It had a huge train on it but I managed to jump into a trolley,’ she said.
