Neymar reveals desire to STAY at PSG for the first time after talk of a return to Barcelona with Brazilian insisting he is ‘very happy’ in France and desperate for team-mate Kylian Mbappe not to go
- Neymar has been constantly linked to a Barcelona return since leaving the club
- PSG’s struggles in the Champions League have left the Brazilian frustrated
- The star has now insisted he wants to remain with the Ligue 1 side going forward
- Kylian Mbappe’s future has also been in doubt, but Neymar hopes he stays too
Neymar is not giving up on PSG’s Champions League dream yet, revealing he wants to stay in the French capital after ‘a lot has changed’ at the Ligue 1 side.
The Brazilian superstar had barely touched-down in Paris before talk began of a return to Barcelona, with reports of the winger’s unhappiness persisting throughout the four-and-a-half years since – particularly after each failure in Europe.
The mood appears to have changed this season. Mauricio Pochettino has replaced Thomas Tuchel in the dugout and PSG are intent on improving last year’s second-place in the Champions League, with Neymar scoring three in his last two games.

This season has changed Neymar’s mind, and he’s desperate for Kylian Mbappe to stay too
‘I’m very happy here, I want to stay at PSG and I hope (Kylian) Mbappe wants to stay too,’ Neymar told TF1.
‘Of course, that’s the wish of all fans, we want PSG to be a great team and I want to keep doing what I do here, play football and be happy.
‘Today I’m very happy, I feel happy, a lot has changed, I can’t exactly say why, if it’s me or something else.’
With Barcelona out of the LaLiga title race, facing both financial ruin and the near-certainty of Lionel Messi following Luis Suarez out of the club, the Nou Camp will be looking a lot less attractive to Neymar.

Neymar’s turnaround will be music to Pochettino’s ears, especially if the winger can convince his World Cup winning team-mate to stay.
The 22-year-old Frenchman had several clashes with Tuchel, and the former Spurs boss’ appointment could already have aided PSG in re-signing the star.
