Neymar storms away after Real Madrid questions

  • Reports have surfaced suggesting that Neymar is unmotivated at PSG
  • Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has met with Neymar’s father for talks
  • Brazilian is said to be viewed as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar stormed away from reporters after being asked questions regarding a potential move to Real Madrid.

Reports emerged earlier this month that Madrid President Florentino Perez had met with Neymar’s father to discuss a move back to Spain.

It is claimed that the forward has been left ‘completely unmotivated’ playing for the French outfit outside the Champions League with a number of Madrid stars coming out to encourage the player to switch to the Bernabeu.

He is thought to be seen as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo — who turns 33 in February.

However, the 25-year-old, who joined PSG in the summer for a world record fee of £198million, has clearly had enough of the continued speculation.

Asked about the reports following his two-goal display in PSG’s 7-1 thrashing of Celtic on Wednesday, Neymar, wearing a Floyd Mayweather jacket, responded in anger.

‘For f***’s sake,’ he is quoted as saying by AS. ‘Have you got nothing else to talk about?’

All parties have been swift to play down the talk of the Brazil international joining his old club’s arch-rivals but that is unlikely to stop the story growing throughout the season.

Neymar has hit the ground running since arriving in France, contributing 13 goals and 10 assists in 14 outings.

For now, though, it is understood Neymar remains content in France and is bidding to win silverware in his debut season.
