Representatives of Neymar have slammed reports linking the Brazilian with a stunning proposed return to Barcelona as ‘lies’ in a damning update confirming support to his Saudi Arabian employer.

Neymar became one of the Saudi Pro League’s most high-profile signings when he joined Al-Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain in a £68m transfer last year.

At the time, Barcelona had been linked with buying Neymar back from the same club they previously sold him for a world record £198m move.

Similar reports have now emerged with the 32-year-old suggested to be again interested in ending his time in the Middle East, but Neymar’s camp have denied such rumours.

The Brazilian has struggled with injuries since signing for Al-Hilal and has only made five appearances during his time at the club who are one of the luxury league’s biggest spenders.
