NFL Draft order has a huge reshuffle after shock Week 16 results

After this week’s slate of NFL games, the New York Giants are now in the driver’s seat to have the top overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Meanwhile, the team that held that spot coming into Week 16, the Las Vegas Raiders, is slated to have the No 6 pick after a win over Jacksonville slipped their future selection.

Although the Giants are alone at 2-13 in the top spot, the NFL has five 3-12 teams, with the Raiders selecting last of all of them due to head-to-head tiebreakers.

In between New York and Las Vegas in order are New England, Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Cleveland.

Four of the top six teams, with the Jaguars and Patriots the only two exceptions, would all be looking for an upgrade at quarterback.

Meanwhile, the two-way Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter, appears to be the consensus top-rated player in the 2025 class, with him not expected to fall beyond the top three picks.

In beating Jacksonville on Sunday, the Raiders now pick three spots behind them with two games to go for these teams in regular season.

Beyond the top six picks, there are three teams at 4-11, with the Panthers drastically improving its record, and lowering its draft position over the last few weeks, including Sunday’s win over the Cardinals.

The Panthers have the No 7 pick, followed by the Jets and the Bears. New York in the No 8 slot will be interesting as the team faces possibly the most interesting offseason in football.

Should the team move on from Aaron Rodgers, the Jets would likely take a quarterback with its first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, after cleaning house of almost everyone but their aging signal caller.

Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is the consensus top rated quarterback entering the draft, followed by Miami’s Cam Ward, Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, and Texas’ Quinn Ewers.
