The NFL has shut down rumors that organizers were planning to give out free Taylor Swift-style friendship bracelets during the Jets’ home game against Kansas City on Sunday, amid the pop star’s romance with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
News of Swift potentially showing up in the Big Apple this weekend, particularly at MetLife Stadium, emerged earlier this week after she was spotted cheering on Kelce at Arrowhead when the Chiefs beat the Bears, 41-10, on September 24.
Since then, speculation of her most popular concert accessory potentially being at a professional football game has gone through the roof, although it now appears that the rumor was too good to be true in the first place.

Many NFL fans on social media reacted to Friday’s update with relief, as some didn’t even know what a friendship bracelet was to begin with, while few of them showed signs of disappointment.
‘I thought this tweet was a joke at first,’ said a user on X, formerly known as Twitter. ‘missed this nonsense earlier.’

There’s no shaking off the Swift-Kelce buzz, anytime soon, as Kelce’s No. 87 jersey sales skyrocketed last week, spiking 400 percent.
Television ratings for the Bears-Chiefs game soared despite the lopsided score. A total of 24.3million viewers tuned in, making it the second-most watched game this season behind the Lions’ 21-20 upset at Arrowhead on opening day.
