Tennessee Titans safety Jamal Adams is being released by the franchise, according to reports.
Adams, as shared by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, had requested to be released from the team – which he only joined this past offseason.
Adams had played in just three games for the Titans, and was on the field for just a total of 20 snaps after missing part of training camp with a hip injury.
Adams confirmed to ESPN that he wanted more playing time, while noting that he wasn’t frustrated about not being a starter.
The Titans, meanwhile, reportedly viewed his lack of practice time as an issue after his missed time in training camp.

The three-time Pro Bowler, 29, is now said to be healthy.
After breaking out as a star safety with the Jets – where he began his career – Adams was traded to the Seahawks, where he notched a final Pro Bowl nod in 2020.
However, he’s struggled with injuries since then, as he played a combined 10 regular season games across 2022 and 2023.
Adams then signed a one year, $1.292million contract with the Titans in July.
He was released before that by the Seahawks in March.
