Nick Kyrgios and other stars lead tributes to Las Vegas

It became the worst massacre in US history with more than 50 dead and 400 injured.

And after learning about the deadly Las Vegas shooting on Monday, that saw at least 50 people gunned down, Australian celebrities took to social media to send love and prayers to the victims.

Stars including Tennis player Nick Kyrgios, model Emily Sears, reality star Simone Ormesher and Real Housewives star Krissy Marsh flocked to Instagram to share heartfelt tributes.

‘Prayers are with you Vegas, devastating news’ tweeted Nick with a crying face and prayer emoji. 

Social media star Emily Sears also took some time out to pay her respects. 

‘Thinking of the victims, first responses, witnesses, loved ones and everyone affected by this incomprehensible tragedy tonight,’ she wrote.

Taking a moment to think about the tragedy, the Bachelor’s Simone Ormesher also took to the social media to send her prayers to the whole city. 

‘What is wrong with the world my prayers are with everyone in Vegas,’ she typed on a black canvas adding a purple love heart.

The shooting took place on Sunday October 1 on the popular Las Vegas strip whilst 22,000 concert-goers were enjoying the final night performances of the Route 91 Harvest festival. 

The death rate currently stands at over 50, with more than 406 individuals also wounded. 

According to police, the shooter was 64-year-old Stephen Craig Paddock, who fired the shots from a room on the 32nd floor at the Mandalay Bay Hotel that he had checked into. 

The festival that was headlining acts such as Sam Hunt, Jason Aldean and Eric Church was taking place across the street. 

According to Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, Paddock was found dead inside his room, among an ‘arsenal’ of 10 firearms.
