Nick Kyrgios has taunted Matty Johns after the rugby league legend branded him ’embarrassing’ for walking off the court in protest.
Kyrgios, 22, walked off the court after he lost his first set to American tennis player Steve Johnson at the Shanghai Masters following a heated discussion with the umpire on Tuesday night.
Johns slammed Kyrgios’ behaviour on Thursday saying the tennis player displayed a ‘deliberate lack of effort’ and it was ‘offensive’.

‘It’s just disgraceful behaviour. People pay good money to watch this match,’ he told Triple M.
‘That is bulls***.’
Kyrgios responded to Johns’ comments via Twitter on Thursday night.

His sledge appeared to reference a group sex scandal Johns was involved in 15 years ago.
