Nicki Minaj lets her new fiery red hair down while partying on day one of the Trinidad carnival

Nicki Minaj is having the time of her life celebrating Carnival in her hometown of Port of Spain, Trinidad.

The Super Freaky Girl singer, 40, showed off a fiery new red ‘do for the occasion.

She paired her Ronald McDonald-colored hair with a pink Versace corset over a cleavage-revealing tank top and denim shorts.

She accessorized her Mardi Gras look with silver bracelets and rings as well as long false eyelashes. One of her necklaces had a large pendant the said Queen.

The Bang Bang singer – who wants to be a role model for young Black women – kept her makeup fairly natural with blush highlighting her cheekbones and a natural berry color on her lips.

In the snaps from the Caribbean, the Anaconda singer is seen smiling wide and clearly enjoying the annual party.

Nicki’s appearance at Carnival comes after a period of her laying low.

The Do We Have a Problem songbird is mom to one son, two, with her husband Kenneth Petty.

The couple has never publicly revealed their son’s name, referring to him only as Papa Bear.

The mom of one son, two, admitted last fall that she wants to be a role model for black women and give them ‘confidence’ due to their lack of representation in the music industry.

She did an interview with i-D magazine in which she talked about feeling like she wasn’t ‘good enough’ while growing up because she didn’t see black women on the covers of magazines and on-screen.

She said she wants to ’empower’ young girls to believe that they don’t need ‘a guy for anything.

‘There’s always been a lack of representation for Black women – as soon as you start becoming famous, you owe it to the entire culture to say things that other Black women can repeat to make themselves feel great,’ she told the publication.

‘When you grow up and you’re only seeing people that look a certain way on the covers of magazines, in the movies and on TV, you can start feeling, “Am I not good enough?”‘

Nicki went on to say that hearing young women singing her lyrics makes her want to give them ‘confidence’ and help them realize they can do whatever they want to.

The Super Bass hitmaker also addressed ‘misconceptions’ around her personality because she is ‘outspoken’, saying she feels it is important to speak out on issues that matter to her.

‘There’s a huge misconception with people who come across as outspoken, the misconception is that we’re so strong – just because a person fights back, doesn’t mean they’re not afraid,’ the Grammy winner admitted.

Nicki also revealed that she has suppressed some of her beliefs over the years due to having ‘reservations’ and being ‘fearful’ of losing her job.

However, she’s come to realize that she doesn’t ‘give a s**t anymore’ and speak out on issues that matter to her because she has realized her fans will still support her.
