Nicolas Cage is continuing to work on scenes for the upcoming series Spider-Man Noir.
The 60-year-old actor was spotted filming in front of a church in Los Angeles this week, holding a Daily Bugle newspaper prop.
The literature featured a headline that read, ‘Silvermane Survives in Skivvies,’ referencing Silvio Manfredi, a criminal in the Marvel Comics.
The character goes on to become a crime boss after being a career criminal.
According to the show’s synopsis, it ‘tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.’

As he worked on set Thursday, Nicolas transformed into the leading role in a black fedora, dark overcoat, and gray three-piece suit.
He was clean-shaven and rounded out his look with a pair of black shoes.
Cage first played the role in voiceover for 2018’s animated movie Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.
Now the character is getting the live-action treatment for the Amazon Prime Video series, which Cage was first seen shooting on Tuesday.
Spider-Man Noir was created for the comic books in 2008 as a darker, morally ambiguous version of the classic character.
In this version, Spider-Man sometimes resorts to bloodthirsty methods in his efforts to fight organized crime.
Dressed for his latest scenes, Cage bears a resemblance to Humphrey Bogart, whom he previously cited as one of his influences while playing the character in 2018.
‘I tried to channel those noir films with Bogart, and have those kinds of sounds that he might make with [James] Cagney, or Edward G. Robinson, that kind of way of talking,’ Cage shared with Entertainment Weekly six years ago.

It was announced in May that Cage was cast in Noir.
The Oscar-winning entertainer has never been a regular on a TV series before.
Two months before the new show was announced, he dished that he was toying with the idea of playing Spider-Man Noir on the small screen.
Speaking with Collider, he revealed: ‘Well, I can say that we have been talking. It’s no secret that I love the character. I think the character provides another mashup of sorts.’
