Nicole Kidman’s incredible $62 million global portfolio revealed

Nicole Kidman is one of the most critically acclaimed actresses in the world. 

And following her incredible rise to fame, the Australia icon, 52, has amassed a staggering property portfolio worth $62 million over the years. 

Since 1987, Nicole has gone from a humble start snapping up a one-bedroom unit in Sydney to now dividing her time between five mansions with Keith Urban.

Below, Daily Mail Australia documents the star’s real estate journey in full.

1987: A humble $81,000 one-bedroom above a shop (Mosman, Sydney) 

Nicole first stepped foot on the property ladder while still a teenager.

In 1987, the Australian icon snapped up a small one-bedroom unit above a shop in the heart of Mosman village on Military road for $81,000, Domain reports.

She purchased the property without a mortgage, and later gifted it to sister Antonia.

1995: The $12 million base with Tom Cruise (Darling Point, Sydney)

Eight years after her first purchase, Nicole vastly upgraded as she moved to Sydney’s eastern suburbs with husband Tom Cruise.

The couple initially snapped up a Darling Point duplex for $4.2 million in 1995, before snapping up the second half of the property for $4.75 million in 1998. 

Nicole remained in the three-level, four-bedroom property following her split from Tom, before it was sold for a staggering $12 million in 2009.

2006: Nicole’s quick $4.65 million stop on Sydney Harbour 

Nicole briefly bought an apartment on Walsh Bay Pier for $4.65 million in 2006.

However, months later after marrying Keith Urban the two-storey penthouse was sold as the couple had a huge property overhaul.

2008: The $3.4 million American dream with Keith Urban (Nashville, Tennessee) 

Two years after tying the knot, Nicole and chart-topper Keith moved into a 20-room Nashville mansion in the country music capital in 2008.

Built on a 1115spm estate, they shelled out $3.4 million for the property which boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, tennis court and a swimming pool.

It is believed this is the couple’s permanent base, with daughters Sunday and Faith.

Of course every A-list couple need a Hollywood home in their portfolio.

Which is what prompted the couple to purchase a five-bedroom, five-bathroom Beverly Hills abode for $6.77 million in 2008.

The property boasts a full-floor upstairs master suite, comprised of dual walk-in closets, a designer-chic bathroom and a spacious sitting room and office.

2009: A $6.5 million piece of history Down Under (Southern Highlands, NSW)

Nicole and Keith purchased the 1878-built country retreat Bunya Hill in 2009.

They dropped $6.5 million on the historical Georgian mansion in the Southern Highlands village of Sutton Forrest, which boasts six bedrooms.  

Set on a sprawling 45-hectares featuring herds of cattle and alpaca, the couple have since modernised the property with several refurbishments. 

Among them were an 18m swimming pool, new gym, full-sized tennis court and 250m grass mounds around the perimeter to block out prying eyes.

2009: The $15.6 million dream up above (Milsons Point, Sydney)   

With Bunya Hill somewhat out the way, Nicole also bought an Australian penthouse in 2009, which is close to her late mother Janelle’s home. 

The $6 million 420sqm pad is located on the 21st floor of the luxurious Latitude Building in Milsons Point, with views overlooking Sydney Harbour.

Along with husband Keith, the couple snapped up the penthouse next door for a reported $7 million in 2012, combing them to make a mega-apartment in the sky. 

In 2011, they also splashed out $2.68 million on a 19th floor apartment in the same building, which the Oscar-winner uses as her home office.

2010: A $13.5 million Manhattan escape (Chelsea, New York)   

In 2010, Nicole and Keith coughed up $13.53 million for a designer New York duplex.

The property is located at 200 Eleventh Avenue in the trendy enclave of Chelsea, and features three bedrooms, two terraces and Hudson River views.

But the cherry on top is a suspended car space and elevator inside the property which houses, among others, Nicole’s Q7 SUV manufactured by Audi.
