Nicole Kidman’s ‘nepo baby’ niece Lucia Hawley, 24, celebrates her career success

She recently landed a highly sought-after gig as a red carpet reporter for Live from E! which airs on the Seven Network’s new multichannel 7Bravo.

And Nicole Kidman’s niece Lucia Hawley, 24, toasted to her hard-earned career milestone on Friday as she partied with her 7Bravo colleagues at the ritzy Catalina restaurant in Sydney’s Rose Bay.

Lucia, who recently spoke out against being labelled a ‘nepo baby’, dressed to impress in a terracotta crop top and matching midi skirt with frill detailing.

She completed her look with a pair of rhinestone-embellished black heels, a leather shoulder bag, mismatched rings and a gold wristwatch.

Taking style cues from her Hollywood star aunt, the newly minted TV presenter slicked back her hair and painted her pout with bright pink lipstick.

During the festivities, Lucia was spotted laughing and joking with female colleagues while sipping drinks on the restaurant’s waterfront verandah.

Before leaving, Lucia plucked a pink-and-white tulip from a table centrepiece, as well as a small goodie bag.

Lucia is the daughter of Antonia Kidman, a famous TV presenter and the only sister of superstar actor Nicole Kidman.

The sighting comes days after Lucia explained why she shouldn’t be labelled a ‘nepo baby’ despite her enviable showbiz connections.

As the new face of Live From E!, the aspiring journalist will attend the biggest events in Australia, interviewing celebrities and reporting on the hottest fashion moments.

While some may accuse Lucia of using her ‘nepo baby’ connections to further her media career, Lucia says she worked hard to land her ‘dream job’.

‘I’ve been working towards this,’ she told The Sunday Telegraph last weekend.

The term ‘nepo baby’, short for ‘nepotism baby’, stems from a recent article published by New York magazine calling out US celebrities who used their famous parents and relatives to build their careers.

Among those named were Jaden Smith, Zoe Kravitz and Maya Hawke.

While the phenomenon is nothing new, the term ‘nepo baby’ has become an increasingly popular term to describe it.

In her interview, Lucia did admit that her mother’s work as a high-profile presenter was beneficial for her career – but only because it taught her ‘perspective’ rather than opening doors.

‘Having a mum who had been in the industry, through osmosis you gain that perspective and understanding and I think that’s been one of the biggest things that has helped in preparing me for this role, just having watched her and how she has carried herself through everything,’ she said.
