Nigel Farage has landed in the United States ahead of Donald Trump’s election rally, fanning speculation his friend the President helped him swerve the travel ban.
The Brexiteer this afternoon tweeted: ‘In the USA, only twenty four hours from Tulsa,’ the Oklahoma city playing host to Trump’s first campaign event since lockdown.
Mr Farage’s social media post, which included a picture of him combining sunglasses with his trademark pinstripe suit, raised eyebrows as to how he managed to bypass the ongoing flight freeze.
Washington continues to ban visitors who have been in a handful of coronavirus hotbeds over the past 14 days, including the UK.

Theories pointed to a one-off discreet waiver coming directly from the Oval Office for Mr Farage, a friend of the President who memorably appeared alongside Trump at a rally during the 2016 election.
Mr Farage’s reference to Tulsa in his tweet further fuelled suggestions he was due to attend tonight’s event.
The Brexit Party leader only last week quit his LBC radio show, on which he once secured Mr Trump as a star interviewee.
He has kept tight-lipped about what his next plans are, but he was widely rumoured to be gearing up to help Trump’s reelection campaign.
In 2016, the firebrand Eurosceptic crossed the Atlantic to coach the then Republican candidate for his debates against Hillary Clinton.
But his involvement in Team Trump was expected to be thwarted by the President’s own draconian Covid-19 restrictions, namely the ban on foreign travel.
As well as the UK, the US currently restricts visitors from China, Iran, Brazil, Ireland and the EU’s Schengen Zone.
