Nigella Lawson has shown off her natural hair.
The TV chef, 64, had been discussing some of her favourite styling products on Instagram earlier this week but decided to then show her followers her natural style.
In an attempt to ‘redress the balance’, the star shared an image of herself with untidy tousled locks as she joked that she often ‘looks a complete mess’ when she is not filming.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘Ever since I posted about my hair, hair products and styling yesterday, I’ve been rather worried about having to live up to it, since mostly I do nothing and go out looking a complete mess.
‘So I thought I’d redress the balance by posting a photo of what my hair more usually looks like!

In the unearthed snap, Nigella looked to be enjoying time on holiday in an exotic location.
She was wearing a simple black T-shirt and gave a big grin as she covered her eyes with a large pair of shades.
Nigella’s followers rushed to the comments section to praise her for sharing such a natural picture.
One wrote: ‘This honesty and vulnerability is what makes you even more beautiful’.

In her initial post, Nigella revealed that her usual haircare routine comprised of shampoo, conditioner, a leave-in hair mask and a volumiser coupled with a pre-styling spray.

The domestic goddess has an ‘immutable nighttime regime’, which involves a cleansing and skincare routine followed by a very chilly night’s sleep.
