Hilarious moment TV reporter loses it in a fit of giggling after her interviewee’s epic fail with a Zoom filter

A TV presenter has erupted into a fit of giggles after her guest appeared wearing a tiny pizza hat during his struggle to find the right Zoom background.
Alice Monfries, from 9News Adelaide, couldn’t stop laughing after her interviewee experienced some technical difficulties during a segment on Tuesday.
Mark Borlace, from the Royal Automobile Association, accidentally chose a filter that made him look as if he was wearing a miniature hat shaped like a pizza.
He had tried to select a filter that would simply blur his background but instead chose a photo of a girl washing a car and then a man scuba diving with a turtle.
‘Studio effects… How do I get back to blur… studio filters,’ he muses as Monfries notices his Zoom faux pas and immediately starts to giggle.
The presenter is seen covering her mouth with a hand in an effort to contain her giggles before finally wiping tears of laughter from her eyes.
‘I’m going to log out and come right back in,’ Mr Borlace says after noticing the hat.
‘Ok… good, awesome,’ Monfries replies while attempting to pull herself together.

The 9News presenter posted the hilarious video to her Twitter account on Wednesday and confessed she was ‘still giggling’.
‘If only we could have run the whole thing… including his profanities,’ she wrote.
‘Very very funny. I’m still giggling!’
The RAA was also able to see the funny side of Mr Borlace’s epic Zoom fail and reposted the video to its Facebook page.
‘Pizza or party hat? Even our beloved veterans of the screen at RAA struggle with Zoom backgrounds from time to time. We love you, Mark,’ the post read.

Mr Borlace’s partner Monique decided to take the joke one step further and picture the senior manager in a pizza party hat she had made for him.

The hilarious video begins with the presiding judge telling lawyer Rod Pontoon: ‘I believe you have a filter turned on in video settings and you might want to turn it off’
‘We’re really getting into the spirit of this today – thanks to Mark’s partner Monique for making the real life emoji for us!’ the RAA wrote alongside the picture.
‘This has finished me off. I am now dead,’ Monfries responded to the photos.
Viewers were also quick to appreciate the funny faux pas.
‘This is bloody funny, the party hat,’ ABC presenter Britt Clennett said.
‘Pissed myself when the party hat appeared,’ another agreed.
In 2021, Texas-based lawyer Rod Pontoon was forced to tell a court he was ‘not a cat’ after he was unable to turn off a fluffy white cat filter during proceedings.
