When Mr Blobby came in and tried to hug him, Noel told him: ‘I’m not doing a radio station for you it is boring! He makes Ed [Balls] look slim!’

During the interview, Deal Or No Deal star Noel addressed the photo that was taken of him last month during a trip to the Isle Of Man, in which he was wearing odd shoes.

Noel choose to wear light brown lace-up boots on his right foot and slip-on dark brown boots on his left foot.

Eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice his peculiar fashion choice as he posed for a photo with the owners of Laxey Beach Stop Cafe.

When asked about it, Noel joked: ‘In River Haven where I live is illegal to have matching shoes (he now lives in new Zealand),

‘And there are cameras around and police to fine you if you go out like that.’

And talking about his company in New Zealand, he said: ‘I have a farm of 1,000 acres a vineyard. Our wine is up for an award.’

He swooped in to give Noel a hug and he remarked he makes Ed Balls look slim
