Noel Gallagher and his son Donovan spent his Saturday afternoon cheering on their beloved football team Manchester City at the Etihad stadium.

The rock singer, 57, appeared to be in high spirits as he watched Manchester City go up against Southampton in the Premier League from the stands.

It was a tense game with Manchester City finishing 1-0 after Erling Haaland, 24, scored the winning goal.

Noel was wearing a black buttoned up jacket as he watched his club go head to head with The Saints and continue their bid to stay at the top of the table.

He was joined by his 17-year-old son, who was spotted in the stands intensely watching the game with his father.

The songwriter was very animated throughout the ninety minutes and could be seen pointing, laughing and at one point nervously biting his lip.

During the game Haaland held off the challenge of Southampton defender Jan Bednarek to put City in the lead after just five minutes.

In scoring, Haaland has now surpassed the goal tally of the striker that he was signed to replace.

Noel’s appearance at the match comes after it was revealed Oasis are set to bank a fortune with their reunion tour next year – but not just through ticket sales.

The brothers – Noel and Liam Gallagher, 52, – will be touring the UK, Europe and the US in 2025.

They have already been hugely criticised for the use of dynamic pricing to sell their tickets meaning fans had to fork out hundreds to get a chance to see them.

And now a new report claims that they have filed paperwork to secure trademarks for certain merchandise.

According to The Sun this includes fly swatters and ironing board, clothes, stationery and dental floss.

The brothers are expected to make at least £50million each.

It has been claimed that the band will be supported by singer Richard Ashcroft and indie rock band Cast for their hotly-anticipated shows in Britain next summer.

Liam teased the news on X in recent weeks. On September 13, a fan asked: ‘Ashcroft supporting the UK shows?’ He replied: ‘That would be BIBLICAL.’

Then, he tweeted on October 4: ‘Just spoke to the CHEF here it is OASIS RICHARD ASHCROFT CAST you are welcome see you next year.’

Ashcroft is a longtime friend of Liam and Noel, who supported the Verve in 1993. Noel also wrote the track ‘Cast No Shadow’ as a tribute to Ashcroft.
