North Turramurra stabbing: How Lazarus, 28, came back from the dead after he was allegedly stabbed 10 times at a wild party in one of Sydney’s richest suburbs

Horrifying new details have emerged about how one man saved his mate’s life in an alleged double stabbing in one of Sydney’s wealthiest suburb .

Lazarus Briggs, 28, was allegedly stabbed 10 times, perforating his bowel and lower intestine, as he waited for an Uber to take him home just before 2am on Sunday.

One alleged stab wound pierced his bicep artery and sent blood spraying onto the street outside Matthew Harper’s parents’ $3million home in North Turramurra on Sydney’s upper north shore.

Mr Harper, 31, rushed to Lazarus’s aid, stemming the spurting blood with a tourniquet, after Jess William Ratcliff had allegedly attacked him with a knife taken from the Harper family house kitchen.

Ratcliff, 30, then allegedly stabbed Mr Harper in the leg and Mr Briggs collapsed, bleeding out from alleged knife wounds to his back, chest and arm.

The incident is alleged to have blown up after Mr Briggs, from Sydney’s inner west, became involved in a argument with the accused knifeman before turning to leave.

It is alleged Ratcliff then ran into the kitchen and grabbed a kitchen knife before emerging to allegedly stab Mr Briggs in the back.

Mr Briggs then turned around before he was then allegedly stabbed in the chest and then the bicep.
