Radio star Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli has announced his shock career move – the author of an adult erotic fiction novel.
The Nova 9.6.9 breakfast host recently finished writing ‘The Far Too Personal Trainer’, which he began 10 years ago.
‘I get it. It’s weird. It was a combination of things happening at the time. There was a lot of people in media and celebrities releasing kids’ books,’ he told news.com.
‘I thought that no one’s doing it for the adults. What about the adults that are looking for a bit of adventure, some spice and escapism?’
Wippa said he got the idea for the novel a decade ago when he saw his wife Lisa reading the saucy 50 Shades of Grey book, and realised there weren’t many erotic stories from the male perspective.

‘I read about the success of 50 Shades and thought, “How hard can it be?” Why are there no erotic novels written by young Aussie men?’ he said.
‘Readers will be surprised by the graphic content, but I think they will also enjoy the idiot storytelling of this guy.’
He then joked if the story was turned into a movie he knew exactly who should play the lead roles.

‘Lead character Ben Holder is young, fit, I could play that role. All the girls in it would be played by [Nova co-host] Kate Ritchie,’ he said.
The book was released on Friday, November 17 and is available to purchase from www.thefartoopersonaltrainer.com.
According to the website, the novel ‘makes Fifty Shades of Grey feel like a How to Fall Asleep self-help guide.’
The radio host has been married to the love of his life Lisa for ten years.
Together they share three children, sons Theodore, nine, and Jack, seven, and daughter Francesca, four.
