Tara Rushton established herself as a successful sports reporter in Australia and abroad.

And now the wife of NRL great Cooper Cronk is embarking on a new chapter of her career with 10 Sports to lead coverage of Australian soccer.

The 37-year-old told The Daily Telegraph on Saturday she is fortunate to have a partner that supported her career aspirations.

‘I am very lucky to have a partner who is allowing my to fulfil my passion professionally… we make a pretty good team.’

The sports reporter, who previously presented sports programs in Singapore and London, first revealed she would be leaving her post with Fox Sports in an Instagram post back in June.

She spoke highly of her eight year tenure with the network and told The Daily Telegraph, saying: ‘It was the role that brought me back to Australia and I am so grateful for that.’

Tara will present sports for Channel 10, as well as lead coverage of Australian soccer.

This includes mens and womens A-Legaue, the Football Federation Australia Cup, AFC Women’s Asian Cup, as all as the Socceroos and Matildas matches.

She added of the new role: ‘This does feel new and fresh and like this is the next path for me.’
