NRL legend and Gold Coast Titans coach Des Hasler ‘hoping’ for $10million as he lists beachfront Collaroy home following move to Queensland

A glorious property on Sydney’s northern beaches owned by NRL legend Des Hasler has hit the market.

The 63-year-old footy guru purchased the four-bedroom, three-bathroom Collaroy pad for $2.82million in 2010 when he was still coaching the Manly Sea Eagles.

No price has been listed for the sprawling getaway style home which sits just metres from the surf line and boasts a spectacular 28 metres of beach front.

But the now-coach of the Gold Coast Titans and his wife Christine are ‘hoping’ for a $10million sale, according to the Daily Telegraph.

While the median price in the neighbourhood is $3.3million, two nearby homes in the last two years have gone under the hammer for over $10million.

The Hasler’s splashed money on a extensive renovation on the classic beach cottage soon after snapping it up.

Built in the 1890s, and located 20km from the Sydney CBD, the roomy spread has a ‘holiday’ atmosphere and features dazzling interiors with large picture windows that make the most of the spectacular ocean views.

Features include an al fresco lounge overlooking the beach, a BBQ ‘retreat’ and an entertainment deck with beachfront views.

Other highlights include a beautiful marble kitchen with butler’s pantry and breakfast bar.

There is also a fireplace, a ‘sun room’, and a private living room.

Meanwhile, the beautiful master bedroom overlooks the ocean and features an en suite and walk in wardrobe.

Additional features include a video security system and a seawall to protect the property.

Hasler made headlines when he coached the Sea Eagles to a thumping 40-0 victory over the highly favoured Storm in the 2008 NRL Grand Final.

He was sacked by his old club, Manly, in 2022 and was picked up as coach of the Gold Coast Titans last year.

Hasler, who began his footy career as a player with the Penrith Panthers in 1982, also played with Manly, Hull FC in the UK and Western Suburbs.

He’s also coached the Canterbury Bulldogs between 2012-2017 and Manly twice, between 2004-2011 and 2019-2022.

Right now, Hasler has a challenge to redeem the Titans season as they currently 13th on the NRL ladder, with a handful of rounds to go before the end of the season.
