Manly NRL champ Tommy Talau and his NRLW Roosters sweetheart Jess Sergis have teamed up to buy their first pad together in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The couple, who went public with their relationship in January, splashed $1.29million on a retro 60s-era two-bedroom flat in beachside Maroubra.
Located on the top floor of a block of 12, the cosy one-bathroom apartment features stunning ocean views.
Situated in a classic red brick three-level tower only streets away from Maroubra beach, 10km from Sydney’s CBD, the flat last changed hands in 2001 for a mere $325,000.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the fixer-upper has had long service as a investment property and in 2023 was rented out for $775 a week.
Features include an thoughtful open plan, private balcony and newly-renovated kitchen.
The bedrooms, meanwhile, boast built-in wardrobes and spectacular views of the surrounding neighbourhood.
A highlight is the modern bathroom, which includes a tub and separate shower.

The median price for a a two-bedroom apartment in the area is $1,050,000, according to Proptrack.
Manly star Tommy, 24, and Jessica, 27, made headlines in January when they hard launched their romance.
The footy champs appeared together in a telling Instagram post that recreated the notorious Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore ‘pottery’ scene in the 1990 romance film Ghost.

While Jessica made some ceramics on a pottery wheel, Tommy hugged her from behind.
She planted a kiss on Tommy in the image, which was called a ‘soft launch’ in the comments by Sergis’ former Roosters teammate, Leianne Tufuga.
Jillaroos’ Test centre Sergis is a star in her own right, but is currently missing the Roosters’ run to the NRLW finals with a serious knee injury.
Tommy has also shared an image of Jessica in a bikini by the pool, with his tattooed arm visible in the frame.
Last year, Jessica said that she might have to concede to her toe chopped off due to an ongoing and troublesome injury.
‘We have to get in there and clean it out or chop the top off,’ she told The Daily Telegraph.

‘My toes are ugly anyway. A toe is a toe,’ she added.
Jessica had repeated surgeries to fix her broken toe, the latest last year – but said if the final surgery does not correct the issue, the toe has to go.
‘I’m still having issues with it. I still can’t fit in shoes. I have to go up in sizes. It’s really annoying,’ she said.
Jessica went on to say she spent five days in hospital with the injury as it was so engorged, doctor’s suspected an infection.
‘It is my left pinky toe. It looks like my big toe to be honest. It’s fat and swollen. If I get stood on it absolutely aches,’ she explained.
