NRL star is charged with raping a woman at a Brisbane pub

A high-profile NRL star has been charged after allegedly raping a woman at a pub in Queensland.

The man, who cannot be identified, was charged with one count of rape over the alleged incident at the Prince Consort Hotel in Fortitude Valley, in Brisbane’s inner city.

He allegedly raped the woman at the hotel on December 11, and was charged on January 14.

He has been stood down from his club. 

His matter was mentioned in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Wednesday and he did not appear.

His case was adjourned for March 6 and the player will remain on bail.
